Event Policies and FAQs
§ Cruise Details: The cruise will begin boarding at the dock at 11:00 PM and will sail around the Boston Harbor 12:00 AM to 2:00 AM.
§ Ticket Includes: A ticket for the boat cruise includes bus transportation to and from the event, admission onboard the ship, food, and entertainment. All tickets are non-refundable.
§ Transportation: All attendees are required to take the bus from Bentley to the boat dock in Boston. Buses will leave campus at 10:15 PM. Attendees are not required to take the bus back to Bentley following the cruise. Round trip transportation is included in the cost of the event ticket. No food, drink, or alcohol is allowed on the bus.
§ 21+: This event is available only to 21+ attendees, per the requirements of the Spirit of Boston. Date of birth will be verified for all attendees.
§ Acceptable IDs: Bring both your Bentley ID and a valid government issued photo ID for check-in at the buses. Accepted IDs include state issued driver’s licenses/ID or passport/passport card. Photocopies of IDs and expired IDs will not be accepted. You must have your Bentley ID on you at all times.
§ Bar: There will be 3 cash bars on the ship. Credit cards are accepted. One drink is served at a time. The bar will close 30 minutes before the cruise docks. The captain reserves the right to close the bar at any time based on group behavior.
§ Bags: No bags or backpacks allowed. Small purses and clutches will be permitted.
§ Attire: Cocktail attire is recommended. See below for more information about suggested clothing. Shoes are required to be worn at all times, no exceptions.
§ Alcohol, Substances, and Behavior: Absolutely no food, drink, alcohol, or other controlled substances will be permitted aboard the cruise. All passengers are subject to search prior to boarding the ship. It is imperative that you do not arrive to the event in an intoxicated state. The Spirit of Boston will not allow anyone under the influence to board the ship. The cruise will be suspended immediately if alcohol or drugs are found on board or if a passenger becomes unruly/intoxicated to the point where they are endangering themselves and/or other passengers. All Bentley policies apply during this event and students in violation of the rules may be referred to the student conduct process.
