The Bentley in the Bahamas tradition is back for the Class of 2025!

Trip Dates: Sunday, May 11, 2025 to Thursday, May 15, 2025
The trip officially kicks off late on a Saturday night with a mandatory pre-departure meeting on campus, with travel taking place early Sunday morning through late Thursday night.

Trip Registration: Eligible seniors are able to complete the registration process and an initial $100 deposit to secure a spot on the trip. Registration will close on Monday, October 7 at 11:55 PM EST and we will not be able to accommodate additional trip participants following this deadline. For the previous ten trips, we have accommodated every eligible senior who wanted to participate and intend to do so again this year.

Trip Cost and Package: $1,750

Students must purchase the entire package to participate in the official Bentley in the Bahamas trip events and activities. Students who do not purchase the package and decide to fly down to the Bahamas will not be able to stay in the same room as trip participants or take part in meals, club nights, or activities. The trip package and cost include:

§ Housing on campus for residential students; non-resident housing is available upon request

§ One non-transferable ticket to the Commencement Ball (May 9, 2025)

§ Four nights at the Atlantis Resort and Casino on Paradise Island, Bahamas

§ All transportation including airport transfers and buses to and from events in the Bahamas

§ A daily lunch voucher valid at various resort eateries

§ Three Payment Option (3 Payments of $550): Due November 4, December 9, February 3

§ Payment Plan Option: Option selected during trip registration, deadlines determined in collaboration with trip planning team

All payments are non-refundable. If the Bentley in the Bahamas trip is unable to take place, student trip participants will receive a refund. If, however, the University is moving forward with the trip as planned and an individual decides they no longer are able to attend or feel comfortable attending, our refund restrictions will stay in place. If you miss a payment deadline, you will be in jeopardy of being removed from the trip.

Financial Assistance: We understand that this trip is a significant financial investment and one that might be a challenge for many students and/or families. We deeply value this trip feeling accessible to those seniors who are interested. Seniors who require any type of financial assistance should plan to complete the trip registration and initial $100 deposit and should submit the Financial Assistance Request by the October 7 registration deadline. During the trip registration, seniors requiring financial assistance should select the “Financial Assistance” payment option and will need to submit the Financial Assistance Request by the October 7 registration deadline to indicate their request and provide additional details. If upon receiving additional information a student determines that the financial support available will not meet their needs, the $100 deposit will be refunded.

Payment Plan: We have the opportunity for students to sign up for a payment plan, extending the payment deadlines and maximizing financial flexibility. Eligibility for the payment plan will require the completion of the trip registration and the Financial Assistance Request no later than the October 7 registration deadline.

SOAR Scholarship: The Student Opportunity and Access Resources (S.O.A.R.) fund offers us the opportunity to financially support a handful of students with partial scholarship money for the trip. High-need students as determined by staff in Financial Aid can be considered for a reduced trip cost that will be determined based on total funds raised. Students facing financial obstacles that would otherwise prevent them from participating should complete the trip registration and the Financial Assistance Request no later than the October 7 registration deadline.

Housing and Roommates: Trip participants will have the opportunity to indicate their roommate preferences during the spring semester. Rooms at the Atlantis are triple occupancy which can be either same or mixed gender. Double occupancy rooms are available at an additional cost of $250 per person. Students wishing to upgrade to a double occupancy room in the Atlantis can indicate this in the registration. Single or quad occupancy rooms are not available.

Trip Eligibility: All Bentley undergraduate students who are graduating in May 2025, in their fourth year are eligible to purchase a trip package. All trip participants must be 21+ at the time of the trip departure and have valid travel documents to travel to the Bahamas. Registered seniors will sign a waiver and complete all payments as part of participation in the trip. Students graduating earlier or later than originally intended can request approval to attend the trip by completing the Bahamas Eligibility Form with their specific situation and graduation plans. The trip planning team will review all requests in accordance with our eligibility policy and notify students of their status. Participants not enrolled as a Bentley student at the time of the trip, due to graduating early, will be required to sign the trip waiver and pay a $200 refundable deposit as terms of participation. It is important to note that a Bentley student can participate in the trip one time only. Students who register for the trip without meeting the eligibility requirements will have their trip registration cancelled.

Information Session: Staff members from the Bentley in the Bahamas Planning Team will host an Information Session on Wednesday, October 2 at 2pm in Adamian Academic Center, Classroom 141. We will walk through the trip schedule and payment deadlines, share information about travel and the Atlantis, and answer any of your questions.
