The Falcon Society, which is composed of sophomore, junior, and senior students, was established in 1964 to recognize and honor those students who excel in both their academic studies and their activities at Bentley University.ÔÇ» The Society is an outstanding group of students who have displayed excellence in their field of study and have also contributed substantially to the social and cultural activities of the University.ÔÇ» Their involvement in organizations extends beyond membership.ÔÇ» They are active, dedicated leaders who have made significant contributions to the University.ÔÇ»
Through the years, students in the Society have said this about the impact of being nominated and selected:
“Being in Falcon Society means that I made an impact on the Bentley community and beyond. Being recognized for this was amazing.”
ÔÇ» “… such an honor because it meant to me that another member of our community felt as though I had made an impact on their experience, as well as others.”
“Being in the Falcon Society means more than any award or recognition on campus because it was my peers — fellow students — who decided to recognize me and my commitment to Bentley.”
Students may be nominated by any current member of the Bentley community (faculty, staff, and students).ÔÇ» Self-nominations are not accepted.ÔÇ» Only sophomore, junior and senior nominees will be considered. Nominees should have a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher.ÔÇ» Students who do not have the stated grade point average may be selected by a 2/3 vote of the current members.ÔÇ» ALL NOMINEES MUST HAVE BEEN ENROLLED AS AN UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT DURING THE 2021-2022 ACADEMIC YEAR.
