Summer Hours & Campus Updates

As the spring semester comes to a close, please keep the following summer updates in mind:

  • Beginning the week of May 18, the University will operate under summer hours. Most administrative offices will be open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Graduate Academic Advising & Engagement drop-in hours will conclude after Thursday, May 14, and will resume during the Fall semester.
  • Please note that there is no shuttle service until mid August. For more information, please visit the shuttle website.

Advisor’s Corner

As you wrap up the semester, it’s a great time to think about what’s next. For many of you, that includes summer courses, which are a valuable opportunity to build momentum toward your degree. 

Even small steps this summer can have a meaningful impact on your progress. Take some time this week to review your course materials in Brightspace and get organized before classes begin. Staying ahead early can make a big difference in a shorter term. 

If you have not registered for fall courses yet, now is a great time to start planning ahead. Courses can fill quickly, and having a plan in place can help you stay on track toward your goals.

We’re excited to see their leadership, ideas, and advocacy help shape the graduate student experience in the year ahead. We also want to thank all graduate students who participated in this year’s election process and helped make their voices heard.

5/26 - Summer ten-week & first-session asynchronous courses begin 
5/28 - Last day to add/swap a summer first-session asynchronous course 
5/30 - Last day to add/swap summer ten-week course 
6/4 - Last day to drop a Summer ten-week course without a W grade

We are currently hiring graduate students to work in our office this summer and fall. These roles offer a chance to build experience while contributing to the day-to-day work of supporting graduate students and office initiatives!

Summer 2026

Digital Media & Data, Office Assistant (18-36 hours per week) 
Work on a mix of data and digital projects - from tracking engagement metrics to updating content and creating graphics.
