From: Graduate Academic Advising & Engagement Date: January 28 Subject: Grad Insider: See What's New - Spotlight, Events & Inspiration
As we reflect on this year’s MLK Day, we hope you had a chance to join Bentley’s 40th Annual MLK Celebration: Linked in Hope, Purpose, and Achievement. The day featured powerful sessions and inspiring messages, including a meaningful reflection from Uriel Ulloa, one of our very own MSBA graduate students, who reminded us that education is both a privilege and a responsibility—and that hope can emerge even in moments of uncertainty. His words, along with those of our keynote speakers, encouraged us to consider the strength of our community and the role each of us plays in shaping a more just and connected future. May we carry this inspiration forward as we continue learning, supporting one another, and leading with purpose.
A group of Healthcare MBA students recently partnered with the Boys & Girls Club as part of a community impact project for GR 603 - Leading Responsibly; organizing a toy and essentials drive focused on giving back. In our latest Student Spotlight, one of the participating students reflects on her experience, the impact it made, and what it meant to work together toward a shared goal. Thank you to everyone (students, staff, and faculty) for making our first supper club of the semester such a success! Throughout the past year (yes, it's already been a year of supper club!!), you've all helped to strengthen the grad community - just by showing up and sharing a meal with one another.
Our next supper club meets on Tuesday, February 10th at 6 PM in the Faculty Staff Dining Room. We hope to see you all again!
🗓️ Dates to Remember
2/2/26 - Last day to drop a hybrid course without a "W" 2/9/26 - Last day to declare a spring internship 2/16/26 - Last day to withdraw from an asynchronous, six-week, first session course with a "W"
Tip of the week: Don't be afraid to ask questions!
Making the most out of your education starts by being curious in the classroom. If you have a question, odds are someone else in class is wondering too; so don't let feeling shy or embarrased stop you from speaking up. Lean into curiosity! Asking questions shows that you’re actively engaging in your learning; and most likely aiding in someone else’s, too.
P.S. Even us advisors need a reminder to ask questions sometimes!
