Advisor-Approved Steps for a Smooth Start
✔ Register for your courses
If you haven’t registered yet, now is the time. Securing your schedule early gives you the best selection of available courses and helps keep you on track toward graduation. Log into Workday and register today. Need help? View our registration instructions.
✔ Check for registration holds
Financial, health, administrative, or Financial Responsibility Agreement holds can prevent registration. Review your account in Workday and follow up with the appropriate office if action is needed.
✔ Review your Degree Audit (DegreeWorks)
DegreeWorks provides a snapshot of your completed requirements and remaining degree progress. To access it in Workday, go to Academics > Advising > DegreeWorks and select Process New.
Incoming students: DegreeWorks will be available at the start of the Fall term.
✔ Plan ahead
Use your Curriculum Guide and Academic Planner to map out your Fall courses and consider future semesters. Planning ahead can help you stay on pace and make informed course selections.
✔ Know the important dates
Be sure to review registration deadlines, tuition information, and key academic calendar dates through the Registrar’s Registration Hub.
Taking a Semester Off?
If you plan to step away from your studies this fall, continuing students should submit a Leave of Absence form. Please remember that graduate students have five years from their first semester to complete their degree requirements. If you're approaching that timeline, we're happy to help you create a plan for completion.
Advisor Tip 💡
The closer we get to the start of the semester, the fewer scheduling options may be available. If you have questions about course selection, degree planning, or registration, don't wait—reach out to your advisor or schedule an academic advising appointment. We're here to help you start the semester strong.
