A Registered Student Organization (RSO) is an undergraduate student group recognized by Student Programs & Engagement that was established through the Student Government Association New Student Organization Process or through the Fraternity & Sorority Life Expansion Process. Graduate student organizations and any student groups who are managed by departments outside of SP&E are not considered Registered Student Organizations.

Bentley Investment Group
The Bentley Investment Group (BIG) is a student organization responsible for managing a portion of Bentley University's endowment. The fund originated in 1997 with an original allocation of $250K and has grown to more than $1.4 million in AUM under the group's financial decisions. Today, BIG is one of the largest Student Managed Investment Funds (SMIF) in the nation by membership size, with over 1,600 registered members on Campus Groups and more than 60 analysts and portfolio managers. The group’s goals are to achieve capital appreciation for the portfolio while providing an educational experience to members. BIG seeks to run as a long-only equity fund focusing on investment exposure to intermediate and large capitalization companies allocated across seven industries. Using an active fundamental investment approach, BIG adds value to the investment process by making weighted decisions in sectors and individual securities.

Bentley Painters’ Organization (BPO) provides a space for student painters of all skill levels to practice their hobby. SGA considers matters affecting the student body, suggests policy procedures for potential adoption by the university administration, and proposes policy revisions or new policies through majority votes, with constitutional amendments requiring a two-thirds vote. SGA appoints qualified students to relevant campus-wide policy committees, maintains high student morale to support personal and educational development while upholding the university honor code, and reviews and approves or denies requests from new student organizations seeking official recognition and funding from Bentley University.

WBTY serves as Bentley University's hub for music, news, sports broadcasts, and radio shows, along with being a center for interaction through competitions and raffles. Student DJs create hourly shows, and WBTY organizes specialty events like music festivals. What is a Competitive Sport?
A Competitive Sport is one that is competition-oriented and focuses on training with the goal of athletic success. Competitive Sports must compete within a league against other schools, must practice at least twice per week, and must have at least a Head Coach at every practice/competition.
Bentley offers 14 competitive sports with 350 athletes.
